The clinic’s founder is Mr Rana Das-Gupta, one of the world’s leading facelift surgeons.
After completing his general medical training in London, Mr Das-Gupta has become a renowned specialist in facelift surgery. His career has taken him all over the world to develop and share the most advanced surgical techniques.
Mr Das-Gupta uses 3D camera systems to examine the facial features. This allows him to understand each patient’s unique facial anatomy and design a bespoke surgical procedure that always gives excellent results.
What happens during this surgical procedure?
Your surgeon will make an incision in your hairline above the temple that continues around the front of the ear, around the ear lobe and behind the ear into the hair.
Your plastic surgeon uses this incision to tighten slack muscles and remodel the underlying tissue. Finally, the surgeon trims away loose skin and closes the wound with stitches.
Facelifts are performed using a general anaesthetic, and the procedure usually takes between 2 and 3 hours.
Non-surgical treatments to enhance your facelift in Fitzroy Square
Even after a facelift has removed sagging skin, you may benefit from the addition of some volume to the facial features. Mr Das-Gupta often suggests dermal fillers to his patients as fillers can restore youthful plumpness to the face.
Chemical peels, lasers, and Botox can also improve the quality of the skin, resulting in stunning but natural-looking results.
All these treatments are available at the Warwick Clinic in Fitzroy Square.
Can I combine my facelift with any other procedures?
A facelift often benefits the mid and lower face the most.
The procedure cannot lift the upper eyelids or remove under-eye bags. Many patients choose cosmetic eye surgery or blepharoplasty to refresh the eye area after their facelift to give the best result possible.
How long do the results of a facelift last?
Unfortunately, a facelift cannot stop the ageing process.
The benefits of your facelift will last for 5 to 10 years, and then you may decide to have further treatments.
You can preserve your good looks for as long as possible by maintaining a constant weight, avoiding the sun, and using high-quality skincare.
Am I a good candidate for a facelift?
If sagging skin on your face and neck affects your self-esteem, you may be a good candidate for a facelift.
At your first consultation, Mr Das-Gupta and his team will assess your suitability and discuss the potential outcomes with you.
Our surgical team is always candid with patients. If they don’t think you are ready for facial surgery, they may recommend non-invasive treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, or peels to give you the improvements you want.
How long will it take to recover from my facial surgery?
You will experience some initial bruising and swelling for the first week or so, but this will soon subside.
It may take the tissues a few more weeks to settle completely, but soon, you will be delighted with your more youthful appearance.
Patient care is our priority, and we will monitor your progress carefully during your post-operative appointments.
